Moline man arrested following investigation by QC MEG

A Moline man was arrested after Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group (QC MEG) officers conducted a weapons investigation, according to a news release from the group.

Brian K. Baker, 26, was arrested at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, and charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He was on probation from the state of Iowa for multiple controlled substance violations and was barred from carrying a weapon until May 26, 2024, the release said.

Baker has his first court appearance this afternoon at the Rock Island County Courthouse. There is no bail, according to court records.
