Music teacher: Music teacher arrested for sexually molesting 10-year-old girl at home | Noida News

Noida: A 48-year-old music teacher was arrested on Thursday morning for allegedly sexually harassing a 10-year-old girl. The accused came to her home to give her lessons, police said. According to Hirdesh Katheriya, DCP (Central Noida), the accused is a resident of Turkman Gate in Delhi. The girl’s parents had hired him as a tutor for their daughter about three months ago. In the police complaint, the parents said that the girl’s mother caught them watching an inappropriate video on a laptop on Tuesday night. “When asked, the girl informed her mother that her music teacher had shown her many such videos in the past and had also touched her inappropriately. Following this, the parents filed a written complaint,” the ADCP said. Subsequently, an FIR was filed against the accused at the Phase 3 police station under Section 75 (2) (sexual harassment) of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. “On Thursday morning, the accused was arrested from Sector 59 metro station,” the officer added.
