The Hurricane Police Department issued a 911 alert around 4:30 p.m. Thursday evening, asking residents in the area of ​​209 North and 3560 West in Hurricane to remain safe while they investigated the incident.

Although the alert did not provide further details of the incident, authorities said they would issue an all-clear alert once the situation is resolved.
