4 dead in side-by-side crash with pickup truck in Morgan County

DENVER (KDVR) – Four people were killed in a crash in Morgan County Wednesday afternoon, the Colorado State Patrol reported.

According to CSP, the accident occurred around 3:34 p.m. at the intersection of County Road C and County Road 31.


The accident involved a Polaris RZR (a side-by-side or utility off-road vehicle) and a Ram 5500. According to CSP, there were four occupants in the Polaris and one in the Ram.

According to CSP, the Polaris was traveling northbound into the intersection and failed to obey a stop sign. The Ram was traveling westbound and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Ram 5500 was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital, CSP said. All occupants of the Polaris were pronounced dead at the scene. The Morgan County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the victims after their next of kin are notified.
