Woman arrested at US-Mexico border for fatal 2020 Talmadge shooting – NBC 7 San Diego

A woman accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend in a Talmadge-area neighborhood four years ago was behind bars Wednesday and faces murder charges after her arrest at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Sheila Brigitte Camarena, 28, was taken into custody shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in connection with the Sept. 18, 2020, killing of 33-year-old Mychael Farve of San Diego at the San Ysidro port of entry, according to San Diego police.

Patrol officers responding to a report of an assault at about 3:30 a.m. found Farve in the 4400 block of Euclid Avenue with gunshot wounds to the upper body, SDPD Lt. Steve Shebloski said. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, investigators have determined that Farve and Camarena had previously had a relationship.

“On the day of this incident, there was a confrontation between Camarena and Farve and he was fatally shot,” the lieutenant said.

In February 2021, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect.

Camarena was taken to Las Colinas Women’s Prison in Santee, where she was held without bail pending her arraignment scheduled for Monday.
