Coroner identifies woman who died in car-scooter accident

The coroner said 23-year-old Danielle Littrell died of “blunt force trauma to the head and torso.” The coroner also said Littrell’s death was an accident.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), a woman, later identified as Littrell, was driving north on Lincoln when an eastbound driver stopped at a stop sign. According to SPD, the driver entered the intersection and the car and scooter collided.

People on scene began to resuscitate Littrell until emergency services arrived, but Littrell later succumbed to her injuries.

According to the SPD, there is no appearance that the driver of the car was impaired.
