Woman found dead in house fire in Arapahoe County

According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was found dead Monday morning by firefighters called to a house fire near Watkins.

Firefighters responded to the 600 block of North Bersshine Street at 10:04 a.m., sheriff’s office spokeswoman Ginger Delagdo said.

According to the sheriff’s office on X, firefighters found a dead woman in the house while extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The woman’s name and cause of death will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
