Coroner announces name of victim who died in car accident

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WOLO)– Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill is releasing the name of a person killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday, the coroner’s office said.

According to Coroner Hill, 69-year-old Wesley Leon Wise of Winnsboro was traveling on Highway 200 on June 29 when the truck he was driving left the road and overturned.

Wise, who was trapped in the truck, died at the scene of the accident. The coroner’s office said an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
