Atlanta Named “Best City to Start a Career” in WalletHub Rankings

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The city of Atlanta has been named “Best City to Start a Career” according to a WalletHub ranking published in May.

Rankings are determined on a 70-point scale, with Atlanta scoring 65.84. Orlando, Florida, and Salt Lake City, Utah, were next on the list.

WalletHub is a personal finance company that offers resources that allow users to compare “credit card offers, personal loans, car insurance companies, checking accounts and more.” They also publish city rankings and financial articles.

The organization used two dimensions, “Professional Opportunities” and “Quality of Life,” and examined them in 182 cities. Twenty-six metrics were also considered across dimensions such as “Availability of Entry Level Jobs” and “Median Annual Income,” to name a few.

WalletHub also ranked Columbus, Georgia 12th on its list of “Best Managed Cities in America.”
