Talented CB Jacob Bradford commits to Houston

One of The Boot’s best defensive backs has confirmed his decision.

After an official visit to Houston and Texas Tech each of the last two weekends, and an unofficial visit to Oregon in between, three-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic High CB Jacob Bradford has committed to the Cougars.

Louisiana is one of the centers of Willie Fritz and his coaching staff after a very successful run at Tulane. That’s when Fritz began recruiting Bradford, and even after arriving in Houston, he never took his foot off the gas.

“Coach Fritz has been recruiting me since his time at Tulane,” Bradford said. Rivals. “I trust this staff and what they are doing. Coach Fritz is a great coach who knows how to get the most out of his team and his athletes.”

Bradford, who helped Catholic High win a last-second state title, was 6 feet, 190 pounds this summer with a verified time of 4.4 40.

He chose Houston over Texas Tech, which also proved strong for the ultra-athletic defensive back this offseason. Vanderbilt and Oregon were also in the mix.

Bradford is one of The Boot’s many talented recruits aboard the Cougars’ 2025 recruiting class. Fritz’s team is gaining momentum at the right time this summer.

“This is about to get really serious in Houston,” Bradford said.
