Glynn County Police Arrest Suspect in Gas Station Robbery After Three-Week Investigation – Action News Jax

GLYNN COUNTY, Fla. – Glynn County Police have announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with an attack that left a man seriously injured at a local gas station more than three weeks ago.

Corey Burnett, a resident of Glynn County, was arrested on June 21 and charged with aggravated assault.

According to GCPS, the incident occurred on May 25 at the Sunoco gas station at 2764 Highway 17 South. The victim, who was traveling to Florida, was preparing to fill up his vehicle when he was attacked.

The man was reportedly rendered unconscious by the attack and suffered serious injuries, including broken facial bones, a broken nose and a cut above his eye that required six stitches.

Following the incident, the GCPD Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation and successfully identified Burnett as the attacker. He has since been booked into the Glynn County Detention Center.
