Child arrested at North Haven movie theater for carrying replica gun: police – NBC Connecticut

A child was arrested at a North Haven movie theater Wednesday night after police found a replica handgun on him.

North Haven police said officers were called to the Cinemark theater on Universal Drive after “several patrons” reported seeing a red and black handgun hidden in a person’s waistband.

According to a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page Thursday morning, the person was also overheard talking to others about the firearm.

Police said officers who received the call tracked down the man and found a replica Glock pistol on him.

The child was summoned to the scene for disturbing the peace and carrying a replica firearm before being handed over to the care of his father, the Facebook post said.
