Fatal knife attack in Prince George’s County under investigation

DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Maryland. – The Prince George’s County Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday evening in the District Heights neighborhood. The victim is Terence Savoy, 45, of District Heights.

On June 18, 2024, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a slashing injury in the 6100 block of Old Silver Hill Road. Officers found the victim lying on the ground with injuries to his body. Savoy was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are working to identify one or more suspects and determine a motive

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides in the city of District Heights.
