Hampshire County man killed in weekend car crash

PLAINFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Plainfield man was killed in a car crash Saturday afternoon.

According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, 55-year-old John Henry Burt of Plainfield died as a result of injuries sustained in an accident he sustained around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred on Grant Street near the intersection with North Street.

Burt was taken to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, where he died. The accident is currently under investigation by the Northwestern University District Attorney’s Office and MSP’s Crime Scene Rescue and Accident Analysis-Reconstruction Unit.
