Attempted burglary in Northbrook, Illinois, caught on video as police investigate a series of break-ins and car thefts

NORTHBROOK, Ill. (WLS) – A new video has documented an attempted burglary that occurred in the northern suburbs over the weekend.

The Northbrook incident occurred as police investigate a series of car thefts and burglaries in the area.

According to investigators, three cars were stolen and more than a dozen others were broken into.

According to police, in all cases the cars were unlocked and the keys were inside the stolen cars.
