With added experience, Atlanta Dream looks to make a statement in 2024

With three All-Stars returning and having bolstered the roster with additional experience in free agency, the Atlanta Dream enters 2024 with high expectations.

After a first-round elimination against Dallas last season, the Dream are aiming for a Top 4 finish this time around – that would guarantee home-court advantage in the playoffs (last year, Atlanta finished fifth). Excitement around women’s basketball is high, and Atlanta recently became the second team in WNBA history to sell out its season ticket.

“In this group, I see a lot of potential,” Tina Charles, fourth all-time in WNBA scoring and the Dream’s newest addition, said Monday during media day. “I think we’re going to exceed a lot of people’s expectations. I think we’ll be the center of conversations as the season goes on. »
