Police: ATV driver killed in accident on Broad Street in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle in North Philadelphia.

According to police, a 29-year-old man was driving an all-terrain vehicle when he was struck by a gray Subaru at the intersection of Broad and Westmoreland Street around 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening.

The ATV driver was taken to Temple University Hospital by paramedics and pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m.

Although police sources said two other ATVs were doing wheelies at the time of the incident, the man who was killed was not present at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Subaru was not injured.

This is an ongoing investigation.
