Mayor of uMfolozi praises police for quick arrest of suspected rapist

Musa Cele is facing charges in an abuse case involving a 15-year-old girl in KwaMbonambi last week.

At his first court hearing on Tuesday, the case was adjourned for a week.

“Councillor Xolani Bhengu says what hurts most is that the perpetrators are not just strangers, but people they know, including their fathers, partners, colleagues, teachers and even classmates,” said Lindelani Mbatha of the municipality.
