The famous ‘athlete’ from Buffalo, New York, decides to quit

It’s the end, for now, for a famous “athlete” who has been competing for years in Buffalo, New York.

Joey Chestnut has announced that he will not be participating in Nathan’s July 4th hot dog eating contest.

Reportedly, Joey has signed with a new company and will not be competing in the hot dog competition, but he is still competing in other competitions and will hopefully be part of the National Chicken Wing Festival in Buffalo at the end of summer.

Joey Chestnut has been competing in the chicken wing eating contest in Buffalo, New York for years. However, the hot dog champ isn’t always the best when it comes to bringing down the flats and drums inside Highmark Stadium.

Channel 4 in Buffalo aired this story after last year’s contest. He’s a competitive eater from Australia who won the title of “Wing Eating Champion” by eating 276 wings to take home the trophy!
