Man and woman die in motorcycle accident in Lisbon

Two motorcyclists were killed in an accident in Lisbon on Tuesday.

Trevor Pawlak, 33, and Jessica Fowler, 33, both of Griswold, were pronounced dead at the scene after the 2023 Harley-Davidson Road Glide they were riding collided with a 2014 Volkswagen Passat at the intersection of North Burnham Highway, Kimball Road and Meadowbrook Drive shortly after 5 p.m., according to Connecticut State Police.

According to state police, Pawlak was riding the motorcycle south on North Burnham Highway. As he approached the intersection, the Passat, driven by a 45-year-old Canterbury man, was traveling in the opposite direction and attempted to turn left onto Kimball Road. The motorcycle struck the front right corner of the Passat, ejecting Pawlak and Fowler from the motorcycle.

According to state police, both vehicles came to an “uncontrolled” stop on North Burnham Highway.

The driver of the Passat refused medical treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.

Any witnesses or motorists in the area with dashcam footage were asked to contact Trooper Christopher Brett at 860-848-6540.
