Chicago shooting: CPD says concealed carry license holder shoots three men in attack outside his Belmont Cragin home

CHICAGO (WLS) — A holder of a concealed carry weapon permit shot and killed three people outside his home in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood late Friday night, Chicago police said.

This happened around 11:23 p.m. in the 4700 block of W. Wrightwood, police said.

The 43-year-old male victim was having an argument with three men he knew when the men attacked him, according to police.

According to police, the victim pulled out a gun and fired, hitting all three suspects.

A 29-year-old man suffered five gunshot wounds to the upper body and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

A 22-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition.

A 55-year-old man was shot in the neck and is in critical condition at Illinois Masonic Hospital.

According to police, the victim suffered blunt force injuries to the head and body and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

The victim’s weapon was seized at the crime scene, police said.

Area Five detectives are investigating.
