Man injured in Belmont shooting, police say – WSOC TV

BELMONT, NC – Belmont police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning.

At around 6:00 a.m., police said they responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting on Alice Avenue.

At the crime scene, police found 38-year-old Andres Contreras Cervantes with gunshot wounds.

According to police, Cervantes was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

According to initial police investigations, it is assumed that this was an incident between acquaintances and not a random act of violence.

However, the circumstances of the shooting are still unknown.
