4 Buffalo Bills who are already turning heads in the first week of OTAs

The Buffalo Bills have entered the next phase of their offseason with Organized Team Activities (OTAs) beginning this week. The 10 practices are spread over three weeks and lead to the mandatory minicamp next month.

It is important to keep in context what OTAs are, which are just the beginning of preparation for the upcoming season. During this time there are no pads and hitting is limited, but for some players trying to get bigger roles or even a spot on the team, they need to take advantage of every practice.

It might be surprising to see Josh Allen’s name on this list as he is already one of the best players in the NFL and often in the MVP discussions every season. However, the starting quarterback finds himself in a unique situation this upcoming season.

The Bills made some significant changes this offseason, as the offense not only has an almost entirely new wide receiver group, but also a new starting center. This week, Allen spoke about the relationship he’s trying to build with McGovern, according to Thad Brown:

“We’re two of the first guys here and we’re sitting in the training room, laying around, hanging out next to each other for a good 45 minutes to a good hour,” Allen said. “I think It’s part of just understanding each other off the field, developing a constant line of communication.

There was probably no doubt about who would lead the offense, but with veterans like Mitch Morse and Stefon Diggs gone, this is clearly Josh Allen’s team and he’s doing everything he can to s Make sure you build those relationships early and quickly.
