I thought I was done with The Walking Dead – but season 2 of Dead City has rekindled my interest

If someone asked me what my favorite TV show of all time is, I would say The Walking Dead without hesitation. Yes, this apocalyptic horror has been etched in my heart since I first saw it on TV. Having never been exposed to blood, the blood splatters and severed limbs didn’t put me off – and I actually binge-watched the show in just five days straight. But as much as it pains me, I lost that spark of passion when the main series and Fear the Walking Dead were canceled.

Since The Walking Dead came to an end in 2022, the franchise has branched out into several spinoffs focusing on different characters. One in particular that piqued my interest was Dead City, but it didn’t feel quite right as I still had an empty feeling in my stomach. It felt like I was recovering from a breakup. However, AMC gave us a first look at Dead City season 2 as well as a release date and I’m ready to dive right back into this relationship.
