$200,000 bail set for man accused of sexually assaulting teens in downtown Eau Claire portable toilet | Crimes & Courts

High bail was set Thursday for the homeless man accused of sexually abusing a child in an Eau Claire portable toilet. An Eau Claire County judge set bail for Ray Jackson at $200,000. A 14-year-old girl told police that Jackson, whom she does not know, approached her on Monday and asked for sex. When she said no, he grabbed her wrist and led her to a portable toilet near the Forest Street Community Garden. She said he was sexually abusing her when police arrived and arrested him. Jackson will appear in court again Tuesday afternoon.



EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) – A homeless man accused of sexually assaulting a child in a portable toilet in Eau Claire was set on a large cash bail Thursday.

An Eau Claire County judge set Ray Jackson’s bail at $200,000 cash.

A 14-year-old girl told police that Jackson, whom she did not know, approached her on Monday and asked her for sex. When she said no, he grabbed her wrist and led her to a portable toilet near the Forest Street Community Garden. She said he was sexually assaulting her when police arrived and arrested him.

Jackson returns to court on Tuesday afternoon.
