Kozhikode: Due to landslides in Wayanad, KSRTC services from Kozhikode to the neighbouring district are temporarily suspended.

KSRTC authorities have informed that the services have been suspended on the instructions of the police.

Meanwhile, heavy rains continue in Wayanad. Massive landslides have occurred in Mundakai and Chooralmala. The bridge from Chooralmala to Mundakai has collapsed and the area is cut off from the outside world.

Restrictions have now been imposed on vehicles crossing the Thamarassery Pass to ensure that there is no traffic jam on the pass and that rescue materials can be transported from Mundakai across the pass.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also appealed to all people to avoid traffic congestion on the pass road and to bring rescue materials to Mundakai.
