Swedish doctor sentenced to 10 years in prison for drugging, raping and imprisoning woman in bunker

A Swedish court sentenced a doctor to ten years in prison for drugging and kidnapping a woman. He planned to keep her for years in a specially built soundproof bunker.

Martin Trenneborg, a 38-year-old general practitioner, has been compared to Josef Fritzl, the notorious Austrian father who held his daughter captive for 24 years and repeatedly raped her in a basement.

Trenneborg posed as an American when he first met the woman at her apartment in Stockholm on September 10 after contacting her online to arrange a date.

Two days later, Trenneborg returned to her home with champagne, strawberries and sedative-laced fruit juice. When she was unconscious, he rolled her in a wheelchair to his car, which had fake license plates.

He then drove 550 kilometers from Stockholm to his home near Kristianstad in southern Sweden, where he enjoyed a good reputation as a doctor.

Trenneborg then locked the woman in an above-ground “bunker,” as the public prosecutor described it, which he had built in his garden and which, from the outside, resembled a garden shed.

But it was soundproof, equipped with a toilet and a bed, and had two thick doors that could be opened one after the other using electronic locks.

Carefully planned

“The doctor planned his crime carefully and over a long period of time. In addition, he put the victim in great danger by administering drugs to her and keeping her in this isolated bunker in very uncomfortable conditions,” the court said.

The doctor took blood and vaginal samples from his victim to ensure that she did not have any sexually transmitted diseases.

He was also accused of rape, but the charges were dismissed due to lack of evidence.

During the trial before the Stockholm District Court, the victim was visibly shaken and appeared hidden with black gloves on her hands and a headscarf.

Her identity has not been disclosed.

“She is not well. It is very difficult for her to face him,” her lawyer Jens Hogstrom said in court during the trial.

The defense said Trenneborg was a “broken soul” and a lonely man with few friends.

“He really wanted a girlfriend,” said lawyer Mari Schaub in court, stressing that her client showed remorse.

“He suffered from a mental disorder,” she said.

Trenneborg admitted to holding her against her will but denied kidnapping or raping her.

“They had sexual intercourse, but it was consensual. She is a sex worker and he paid for the sex he had,” Schaub told AFP after the verdict.

Much of the trial took place behind closed doors.

The man held the woman captive in the bunker for six days. After the woman was reported missing, Trenneborg took her to a Stockholm police station and told her to tell officers that she was fine and there was nothing suspicious.

The police noticed the couple’s strange behavior. When the woman was questioned alone, she burst into tears and told the police what had happened.

The man was subsequently arrested.

“My defendant is deeply regretful and happy that he can begin to repay society for his crime,” Schaub said in English.

A decision on the appeal has not been announced.

The embarrassing sex contract

Trenneborg drew up a “50 Shades of Grey”-style sex contract for a woman he kidnapped, drugged and allegedly raped in his “sex bunker.”

He allegedly drew up a contract in English that included a list of sexually degrading acts, including shaving her body hair, getting a tan and getting a belly button piercing.

According to the Daily Mail, police found the document, which covers a period of ten years, on his computer after his arrest on September 18 last year.

It states that she must offer him a “GFE” – Girlfriend Experience – during sex, which includes kissing during intercourse.

The doctor required her to shave her body hair, tan, and get her belly button pierced.

The document states that the woman would be punished for refusing sex, masturbating and attempting to escape.

Trenneborg allegedly wrote that his “guest” could receive “shemale discounts” in the bunker if he performed degrading sexual acts and participated in a fitness program with a healthy diet.

The contract also revealed his plans to keep the woman for years, which he also admitted in court.
