Glynn County Police Investigate Death of Michael Rose

The GCPD says the circumstances surrounding the death of 35-year-old Michael Rose are still unclear. His death has “led to speculation on the internet.”

SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Glynn County Police want to “reassure” their community that they are investigating the death of 35-year-old Michael Rose. A police news release said there has been speculation on social media about how Rose died.

According to GCPD, Rose died in the early morning hours of July 22 on St. Simons Island. The “circumstances” of his death are under investigation. In a press release, GCPD described his death as “accidental.”

So far, the GCPD’s “extensive” investigation has not revealed any clues as to the cause of death. The GCPD also says Rose’s autopsy has not yet provided any answers.

Nevertheless, “investigators are working diligently to determine the facts surrounding Rose’s death.”
