The Newport Police Department has provided the following arrest and incident logs from July 22, 2024, 7:00 a.m. to July 24, 2024, 7:00 a.m.

Monday, July 22

At 5:15 p.m., 60-year-old Joseph Vincent, whose address was not released, was arrested by Officer Boghigian for violating a no contact order.

At 5:16 p.m., Markes Price, 29, of Newport, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by Officer Chiang on a warrant charge in Superior Court.

At 7:23 p.m., 59-year-old Lisa Johnston Olaynack, whose address was not released, was arrested by Officer Fanella and charged with resisting lawful or unlawful arrest, domestic disturbance, and simple domestic assault.

At 7:55 p.m., Jalen O’Loughlin, 30, of Newport, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by Officer Chiang for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday, July 23

At 2 p.m., Dean Oliveira, 54, of Middletown, Rhode Island, was arrested by Officer Horwood for possession of <10 grams of Schedule I, II, III, IV, V drugs (excluding marijuana).

At 2 p.m., James Butler, age 45, of Newport, Rhode Island, was arrested by Officer Horwood for Manufacture/Sale/Possession of Class I/II Cocaine (1 ounce – 1 kg, 2nd Class).

At 6:10 p.m., Joshua Strother, age 30, of Newport, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by Officer Monte on a warrant charge in Superior Court.

At 8:50 p.m., Jacob Telford, 31, of Middletown, Rhode Island, was cited by Officer Sherman for consumption of alcohol, possession of alcohol, open container in public, and littering of water.

At 11:30 p.m., Kelli McGowan, 40, of Newport, Rhode Island, was cited by Officer Cavallaro for consumption of alcohol, possession and opening containers in public and closure of beaches, parks and bluff boardwalks.

At 11:30 p.m., Christopher Mureddu, 36, of Newport, Rhode Island, was cited by Officer Cavallaro. He was charged with alcohol, drinking, possession and opening containers in public, and blocking beaches, parks, and cliff paths.

At 11:30 p.m., 39-year-old William Zeigler of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, was cited by Officer Cavallaro for possession of alcohol, drinking, possession of open containers in public, and closure of beaches, parks, and bluff trails.

At 11:30 p.m., Christina Lyons, 44, of Newport, Rhode Island, was cited by Officer Cavallaro for consumption of alcohol, possession and opening containers in public and closure of beaches, parks and cliff walkways.

Wednesday, July 24

At 1:30 a.m., Officer White arrested Julia Saylor, age 20, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She was charged with simple assault, disturbing the peace, consumption of alcohol and making false statements by a minor (first offense), and possession of alcohol by a minor (21).

At 1:30 a.m., Marissa Saylor, 21, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, was arrested by Officer White for simple assault and disorderly conduct.

At 1:30 a.m., 48-year-old Michael Corcelli of Miami, Florida, was arrested by Officer White on two counts of assault and disturbing the peace.

At 1:30 a.m., 30-year-old Royce Rogers of Newport, Rhode Island, was arrested by Officer White for disturbing the peace and simple assault.
