One dead and four injured in traffic accident on Elk River Highway 10

ELK RIVER, Minnesota — One person was killed and four others injured in a two-car crash in Sherburne County.

On Friday, July 19, at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car was attempting to turn left from Highway 10 West onto Gary Street in Elk River when it collided with an eastbound SUV.

The driver of the SUV, 32-year-old Chase Bosshardt from Utah, had been drinking alcohol. His passenger, a 36-year-old woman from California, died at the scene of the accident.

Bosshardt and the occupants of the other car involved were injured in the accident but are expected to remain unharmed.
