Discovery alert: With six new worlds, the milestone of 5,500 discoveries has been reached!

In March 2022, NASA surpassed 5,000 confirmed exoplanets. This data sonification allows us to hear the pace of discovery of these worlds. In this animation, exoplanets are represented by musical notes played over decades of discovery. Circles show location and orbital size, while their color indicates the method of discovery.
