15-year-old shooting victim pronounced dead at Houston area medical center, police said

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – According to Houston police, a 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting on Tuesday evening.

The original location of the shooting was not immediately known, but HPD posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the 15-year-old victim was taken to the hospital at 7600 Beechnut in a private vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead, triggering an investigation.

The cause of the shooting is still unclear and police add that there are conflicting reports.
