1 dead, 2 injured after serious accident in Signal Hill

One person was killed and two others injured in a violent collision between two cars in Signal Hill on Sunday.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue.

When they arrived, they found two badly damaged cars and paramedics took two victims to the hospital. Their condition was initially unclear.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed.

Investigators are still trying to find out the cause of the serious accident.
