Headmaster: Headmaster sentenced to life imprisonment for sexually abusing six schoolgirls | News from Udaipur

Udaipur: A headmaster of a government school, convicted of sexually abusing six girl students in Dungarpur district a year ago, was sentenced to life imprisonment by the POCSO court on Friday. Convicting the accused, a teacher, of violating the sanctity of education, the court imposed a life sentence without parole and a fine of Rs 3.14 lakh. The case, filed at Sadar police station in Dungarpur in May 2023, revealed allegations that the headmaster had sexually harassed girls aged 8 to 12 at the government school where he taught. The incidents took place during school hours and on holidays under the pretext of school activities. The abuse came to light when a girl reported injuries, triggering a police investigation that collected evidence.
