Suspects arrested for theft at Tractor Supply in Apple Valley – VVNG.com

APPLE VALLEY, California (VVNG.com) – On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers with the Apple Valley Police Department were conducting a proactive patrol at Tractor Supply on Bear Valley Road following recent reports of theft.

While on patrol, officers observed a red Chevrolet Tahoe leaving the store and initiated a traffic stop at the corner of Bear Valley Road and Deep Creek Road.

Officers identified four people in the vehicle, as well as dog food and wood pellets that were proven to have been stolen from Tractor Supply. All four people were subsequently arrested.

  • William Joseph Deana 43-year-old Apple Valley man, was arrested at the High Desert Detention Center on charges of burglary (PC 459), conspiracy (PC 182(a)(2)), and a no-bail warrant for post-release parole (PC 3455). Dean remains in custody.
  • Richard Raymond Maldonadoa 32-year-old Apple Valley man, was charged with burglary (PC 459) and conspiracy (PC 182(a)(2)). Maldonado posted bail and was later released.
  • Matthew Michael Veraxa 30-year-old Apple Valley man, was also arrested on charges of burglary (PC 459), conspiracy (PC 182(a)(2)), and a no-bail warrant for probation violation. Verax remains in custody.
  • Debra Lynn Oconna 58-year-old woman from Apple Valley, was not arrested at the time of the incident.

Later that same day, at approximately 11:18 p.m., Deputy W. Ray located a vehicle associated with a theft incident reported on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

This investigation involved the theft of a Tractor Supply generator. Deputy Ray identified the suspect and vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver, Joshua Isaiah Harrisa 32-year-old Apple Valley man, was arrested on a charge of Grand Theft (PC 487(a)) and other warrants from San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Harris is being held without bail on those warrants.
