Suspect identified and sought in connection with murder of Houston McDonald’s lawyer

HOUSTON – A man is now wanted after being charged with murder following a fatal shooting at a McDonald’s near the Katy Freeway last week.

The shooting occurred on the 8147 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) around 6 p.m. on May 4, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police identified the suspect as 57-year-old Anthony Martin Landry.

HPD officers said they responded to the shooting and found an unknown man unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man, later identified as Jeffrey Limmer, 46, dead.

The suspect fled the scene in a blue Ford pickup truck from the early 2000s.

Police at the scene said the suspect, now identified as Landry, was unhappy with his order, wanted a refund and was arguing with staff. Limmer allegedly tried to calm down the angry customer, but the customer instead turned his attention to him.

The argument led the two men to go outside and police said Limmer pushed the angry customer to the ground. After that, investigators say the suspect grabbed a gun from his car and shot Limmer twice before leaving the scene.

Limmer was an attorney with the Lewis Brisbois law firm.

Landry remains on the run.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Anthony Martin Landry or in this case is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
