Houston’s waste management and collection have been rescheduled after the hurricane

HOUSTON (KIAH) – Due to the consequences of Hurricane BerylThe City of Houston’s Solid Waste Management (SWM) Department will operate on a modified collection schedule for the remainder of the week, beginning July 9.

TUESDAY JULY 9

  • Collection of household waste and heavy tree waste
  • Storm Debris Collection
  • ALL 6 neighborhood depots will reopen
  • ALL other facilities will remain closed
  • Recycling and garden waste management services are suspended until the next collection day
  • SWM conducts city-wide damage assessments

WEDNESDAY JULY 10

  • Collection of household waste and heavy tree waste
  • Storm Debris Collection
  • ALL Reopening of solid waste management facilities

THURSDAY JULY 11

  • Collection of household waste and heavy tree waste
  • Storm Debris Collection

FRIDAY JULY 12

  • Collection of household waste and heavy tree waste
  • Storm Debris Collection

SATURDAY JULY 13

  • Collection of heavy tree waste and storm debris
