FHP asks public for help in recent incident of driving aggression in Deltona

An Acura sedan was riddled with bullets in Deltona on Monday following an incident of driving aggression, and the Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help.

According to FHP, the shooting occurred around 9:10 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 between mile markers 105 and 108 in Deltona.

The driver of a dark-colored sedan got into an argument with a 62-year-old man driving a blue Acura TSX, the FHP said. When the Acura driver tried to “pull himself away” from the sedan, the gunman opened fire, according to the FHP.

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver of a dark sedan, described "as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 20s with long, curly, black hair." The driver is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred following a traffic accident on Interstate 4 in Deltona on Monday, the FHP said.

The Acura driver drove to a nearby gas station and found his car had been hit by multiple gunshots, the FHP said. He then called police. A photo provided by the FHP shows the right rear of the car riddled with bullet holes and the right rear tire shredded. The driver of the Acura was not injured.
