Plan Ahead for Weekend Construction in Houston

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The weekend is here, the weather is warm and there could be construction this weekend that could impact your commute.

Here’s what to watch out for:

One outside lane is affected along the main lanes of eastbound I-10 East and Frontage Road from Spur 330/Decker to Thompson – closure in progress until further notice

Galveston County IH-45 Road Closures:

Northbound from Tiki Dr to SH-6/SH-1461 Outside lane(s) Closed daily (except Sunday(s)) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until Saturday, June 29
Northbound Entrance Ramp from Tiki Dr and Exit Ramp to Tiki DrFull ClosureClosed Saturday, June 29 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.All NB traffic wishing to access Tiki Island should proceed NB to Exit #7A, turn around at SH146, enter IH45 SB main lanes, proceed SB to Exit #4 to Tiki Island Village. All traffic wishing to travel NB on IH45 from Tiki Island should use IH45 SB entrance, proceed SB to Exit #1C to Harborside Dr., turn around at Harborside Dr., use NB entrance ramp to IH45 NB main lanes.
Northbound from Galveston Causeway Bridge to Tiki Dr1 Outside Lane(s) Closed Saturday, June 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

IH-45 Gulf Hot Spot Closures:

Southbound from Woodridge Dr to Howard Dr/Bellfort Ave. 2 outside lanes Closed continuously from 9:00 p.m., Friday, June 28 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, July 1

The two interior lanes will be accessible to the travelling public

I-45 North Closures:

Southbound from West Rd to SH 249/Mount Houston Rd3 Alternate Lane(s) Closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 28 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 1

IH-610 South Loop Closures:

Eastbound connection ramp to SH-288	Total closure	Closed until further notice	Motorists will continue along the main lanes of IH-610; exit at Scott St, make a U-turn at Scott onto the west frontage road of IH-610 and continue to the entrance ramp to SH-288.
	Eastbound connector ramp to IH-45 Gulf	Total closure	Closed continuously from Friday June 28 at 9:00 p.m. to Monday July 1 at 5:00 a.m.	Motorists can continue east on IH610, exit onto SH225 eastbound, turn around at Good Year, continue west on SH225, exit onto the IH610 south loop and take the IH45 south entrance
