Man arrested after woman found ‘raped’ in Swindon car park

A man has been arrested after a woman was found “raped” in a car park in Swindon.

In the early hours of Sunday morning (30 June), police were called to the Dammas Lane short-stay car park, opposite Kioki nightclub in the Old Town.

A local resident allegedly found the victim slumped next to his vehicle – a red SEAT.

To preserve evidence, a blue tent was stretched over the car at the scene of the accident before a forensic scientist arrived to photograph the area and take swabs.
