Gianna Tuzzolino gave FC Buffalo some breathing room in the 83rd minute when she buried a pass from the left wing for a two-goal advantage.

Flower City 1872 had several good chances to score, although Brigid Mulholland did her best to frustrate the home team in both halves.

In a scoreless match in the 23rd minute, Emma Herrmann’s header was saved by Mulholland.

Three minutes after a Buffalo goal was ruled out due to an offside infraction in the 52nd minute, Chloe DeLyser latched onto a long ball from the back and beat defender Tess Ford before his shot is refused by Mulholland.

Herrmann picked up a through ball in the 62nd minute and went 1 on 1 with Mullholland, but the goalkeeper stopped her attempt.

Flower City 1872 hosts Steel City FC at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 before finishing the regular season at FC Buffalo on Friday, July 5.
