JOB TITLE: Administrative Specialist II – One Stop

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:


Arkansas State University – Beebe is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant II to support the One Stop on the Searcy campus. The One Stop supports the mission and values ​​of the college by assisting students with their enrollment process. The One Stop collaborates with other campus offices to provide student support.

This position will work in parallel with other student services offices on the Searcy campus to assist students with enrollment processes. This position reports to the Director of Advising and Learning. The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a good knowledge of Microsoft programs. It requires the ability to pay attention to detail, multitask with frequent interruptions, problem solve, and accept and implement changes. Some knowledge of the ASU-Beebe enrollment process is helpful; however, extensive training will be provided.

BASIC DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS:

  1. Greet walk-in traffic, answer phone calls and assist visitors as needed
  2. Perform administrative tasks necessary to operate the one-stop office, including filing, student outreach, mail processing, scanning, and inventory of office supplies.
  3. Work with the Admissions Office, Office of Examiners, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Campus Operations, and the Cashier’s Office to manage in-person traffic, emails, and phone calls for the one-stop location.
  4. Assist new students in submitting all required enrollment documents and scheduling campus tours.
  5. Assist current ASU Beebe students with enrollment or student account questions and/or needed connections to campus resources.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

Education: Abitur or equal.

Experience: 12 to 18 months of relevant office experience and/or training.

This position is located in a high-traffic office environment requiring the ability to multitask and work independently with great attention to detail and minimal supervision. Extensive experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel is required. Overtime may apply.

PAY: $27,563

JOB TITLE: Engineer I

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for meeting with customers to determine power needs and requirements. Performs a variety of planning, maintenance, and engineering activities related to routine, non-routine, and disaster recovery tasks. Project areas may include grid/system design, operations and maintenance, planning, asset management, reliability, computer applications, safety, and root cause analysis.

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support technical staff and engineering assistants as well as local management groups.
  • Provide project management for all major projects including highway relocations, regulatory projects, and planned improvement and reliability projects.
  • Review and recommend for approval electrical designs that meet customer requirements, conform to company standards, and improve overall system performance and reliability.
  • Attend meetings with external clients, architects, developers, contractors and government agencies to communicate standards and policies.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support planning and corrective action projects.
  • Help with storm recovery efforts both locally and outside the city.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education required for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical engineering) from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Degrees in engineering (typically electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical and industrial) from an accredited four-year institution with PE may be considered.

Minimum experience required for the position:

  • Engineer I (Utilities Engineering) – 0 to 2 years experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Engineer II (Utility) – 2+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Engineer III (Utility) – 4+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Engineer Sr. (Utilities) – 6+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.

JOB TITLE: Process Engineer Assembly

LOCATION: Sheridan, Arkansas

Special responsibilities:

  • To support the manufacturing facilities for Arkansas Faucet Operations in the areas of production constraints and/or limitations in the areas of bill of materials, variances, line layout, tooling and fixtures for efficient and timely product manufacturing and delivery.
  • Support facilities as needed by liaising with suppliers to ensure that the quality of products received and manufactured conforms to technical standards and specifications.
  • Support all Global Faucet initiatives in the areas of Kaizen, Quality, Efficiency, Cost Reduction, Delivery, Safety and Performance.
  • If required, we offer specialist support to the coating and PVD sectors based on current process analyses to improve efficiency and absorption as well as to reduce the scrap value.
  • Support Global Faucets and other Kohler organizations by designing, developing and introducing new products and technologies into Arkansas Faucet Operations.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by your supervisor or Arkansas Faucet management.

  • Good knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Experience with SAP is a plus. Experience with drawing programs is also a plus.
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.
