Notably, Travis Scott was arrested in the Netherlands just eight days before his European tour Circus Maximus was due to begin. In 2021, the rapper’s concert at the Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas, resulted in a stampede that left 10 people dead and 300 injured. Some lawsuits after the event claimed that Scott himself was negligent and profited from allowing the concert to continue despite crowd control issues. However, he has denied responsibility for the tragedy.

His arrest came just days after pop star Justin Timberlake was arrested on similar charges. The singer was charged with drunken driving on Tuesday in the town of Sag Harbor on Long Island, New York. He pleaded not guilty and was released without bail.
