Joy Reid says it is not worth reporting when an illegal migrant rapes a 13-year-old girl

American voters view immigration as the “most important issue” facing the country ahead of the election, according to a Gallup poll. The recent arrest of a migrant for the rape of a 13-year-old girl in New York further confirms these concerns.

And yet MSNBC host Joy Reid claims the coverage of the story is a form of “fear-mongering.” Reid and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) criticized Fox News on Tuesday for mentioning the arrest.

“Let me show you, this is one of the reasons why people support mass deportations. Here are the three cable channels that are covering it:

“Our banner said, ‘Biden to soon announce legal protections for spouses of undocumented citizens.’ CNN’s banner said, ‘Biden announces new protections for some undocumented spouses.’ And here’s FOX’s banner: ‘Migrant arrested for raping 13-year-old New York City girl.'”

Jayapal responded by laughing at the Fox chyron.

“I think that’s part of the problem, the intense fear-mongering,” Reid added.

Here are the suspect’s details:

Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, a 25-year-old from Ecuador, entered the U.S. illegally in 2021 near Eagle Pass, Texas. New York police say he attacked two 13-year-olds, a boy and a girl, with a machete this month. He tied them together at the wrists and raped the girl in a popular Queens park, authorities add.

Apparently Joy Reid doesn’t think it’s newsworthy when an illegal immigrant comes into the country through our senseless border policy and rapes a little girl. We won’t even speculate on what Jayapal found funny about this post.

Admittedly, Reid and Jayapal’s reactions are more strategic than natural.

They understand the consequences that the heinous crimes committed by illegal immigrants could have on the upcoming election. Voters could and should hold the current government responsible for the fate of the victims who were terrorized by migrants who entered the country as easily as they did illegally.

Let’s not forget Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered by an illegal immigrant while jogging between classes on a hiking trail in Georgia.

Laken Riley’s face is a symbol, a visual reminder of the threat Biden’s “America Last” border policy poses to us:

The mothers will also have to think of the unthinkable visions of an illegal thug tying up and raping a little girl, despite Joy Reid’s shameful efforts to banish the crime from memory.
