Putnam man arrested for sexual assault of child in 2022 – Action News Jax

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old Crescent City man was arrested in Marion County in February on a warrant for sexual battery of a child.

On Wednesday, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying Moises Garcia fled the county in 2022 after allegations of child abuse were reported. The child’s mother contacted law enforcement after the child said Garcia touched the child’s body inappropriately.

The mother told officers that Garcia had left Crescent City and was possibly headed to Lady Lake, Florida.
