WORCESTER – State troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 290 Saturday that killed a 56-year-old New Hampshire motorcyclist.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2020 Honda CRV was traveling westbound in the left lane of Interstate 290 when it collided with a Harley Davidson driven by Robert Petterson, 56, of Farmington, NH.

Petterson was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the CRV was not injured in the accident.

State police closed the left and center lanes of westbound Interstate 290 for nearly an hour. The crash remains under investigation by State Police Troop C, as well as the State Police Accident Analysis and Reconstruction Section and investigators from the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.
