Deputies arrest man in mental health crisis in Pin Oak Acres after gun incident

A mental health crisis in Pin Oak Acres resulted in an arrest by the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) around 8:40 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to MCSO, officers responded to a call at a private residence where an individual allegedly pointed a firearm at a neighbor’s home.

The man claimed that a kidnapping had occurred, MSCO said.

When officers arrived, it was discovered that the person, identified as Dusty Peck, was experiencing a mental health crisis.

Officers also discovered evidence that Peck allegedly fired a firearm at a nearby home.

A search warrant was issued and Peck’s residence was searched; officers found evidence of suspected possession of firearms.

After Peck’s immediate mental health crisis was treated, she was taken to the Mayes County Jail.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, intentional discharge of a firearm or deadly weapon into a dwelling, illegal possession of a firearm and criminal pointing of a firearm.
