The Houston Texans have the best chance to win the AFC South in the 2024 NFL season

With incoming talent like wide receiver Stefon Diggs and wide receiver Joe Mixon adding to an already elite offensive arsenal, Houston is going to be hot next season.

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the Texans, and it’s for good reason. Stroud had 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns in his rookie season, helping the Texans make a seven-win jump to go 10-7 and qualify for the playoffs.

Not only has Houston pulled out all the stops to build a Super Bowl contending team around Stroud and the Texans’ young core, but the media and fans firmly believe in what the team has planned for the 2024 NFL season. NFL.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Texans have the best odds, with a 36% chance of winning the AFC South for a second straight season. The next best odds come from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have a 26 percent chance of winning a division title, followed by the Indianapolis Colts with a 23 percent chance.

Of course, that only leaves the Tennessee Titans with a 15% chance of becoming AFC South champions this season.

Being strong favorites, the Texans have a certain level of expectation heading into the NFL season. Due to the youth of the team combined with Ryans entering his second season behind the wheel, the Texans are poised to take another leap forward from their ten wins the previous season.

Making the playoffs – and winning the AFC South – is the Texans’ expectation next season. Using that to win more than one playoff game and really push for a Super Bowl appearance would mark an improvement for a team poised to take another leap.
