“There’s a fire in horse stable 638,” an emergency caller told the dispatcher.

In an emergency call received on Sunday morning, the dispatcher asks the caller if she can see flames.

“Oh yes, it’s huge. It’s coming from the windows upstairs,” she replied.

When rescue workers arrived on site, the 5,574 square meter facility was already in flames.

Some horses were able to escape, but the fire department could not confirm the number of horses rescued.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire and is expected to return to the scene on Monday.
