One dead and one injured in fatal crash in Washington Twp. Saturday morning

(WJET/WFXP) – A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a car crash in Washington Township on Saturday.

At approximately 12:10 a.m. Saturday morning, a vehicle carrying two passengers was traveling east on Kinter Hill Road when it lost control and struck a tree west of Henneous Road.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), the vehicle lost control, entered a ditch, struck a tree on the passenger side and rolled over once.

The passenger pronounced dead at the scene was identified as Jacob Myers, 21 years old of North East. According to PSP, he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The driver, a 26-year-old man from Wattsburg, survived the accident and was taken to UPMC Hamot with suspected minor injuries.
